Makumbi is a Software Developer and Chief Executive Officer at Billable Limited. with over fifteen years of experience in Uganda’s growing information technology industry, James has a passion for converting innovative technology ideas into viable, sustainable and resilient businesses that foster development and growth in Uganda’s economy.
James is also the current Chair of the ICT association of Uganda an organisation the unites all ICT private practitioners and private companies.

Steven Kirenga

Steven is the Enterprise Marketing Manager at MTN Uganda. An experienced marketeer, he has more than seven (7) years of solid Consumer & Business Marketing experience, developing and implementing profitable Customer Value Propositions to the market to drive sales and revenue whilst building long lasting relationships with customers. The work Steven has done has contributed to creating and building strong brands and revenue generating products and services for the organizations he has  had the opportunity to work for.

With the bulk of the working experience being in the ICT sector, Steven has been part of multidisciplinary teams composed of specialists, professional and nonprofessional personnel, and has led key strategic agendas and themes aimed at delivering a comprehensive market proposition for Business/Enterprise and Data Customers at MTN Uganda.

Maureen Agena

Maureen Agena is a founder and Executive director of Tune Communications LTD whose focus is on Development communication in the thematic areas of Agriculture and Health. Her area of interest is in using technology for social change. She has consulted for a wide range of both local and International agencies from NGOs, UN and The World Bank Group in both Kenya and Uganda. She is a member of several technology innovation review panels and committees both locally and internationally and a trainer in ICT4D with over 8 years experience.

Simon Kaheru

Simon Kaheru is an enthusiastic Ugandan Communicator who loves Communication in general, new age media technologies and uses, art & culture, his country and his family. He is a journalist as well as an entrepreneur with a good public service record, and is currently Chair of the Kampala Arts Trust, serving the art & culture community in Uganda. Simon holds qualifications in Cyber Diplomacy, Prince2 Project Management, Business and Economics Reporting, Management Skills, and is a graduate of Mass Communications with Honours from Makerere University, with more than twenty years experience at various levels in the mainstream media. He is particularly passionate about Corporate Governance, New Media technologies and the impact of Globalisation on development in his home country, Uganda. Ronald is the founder of SchoolMaster Solutions, a Ugandan software company focused on developing solutions for the education sector. SchoolMaster’s products include the country’s leading school management solution (PSM) as well as the country’s first mobile/web parent’s information portal (myChild). Prior to running SchoolMaster, Ronald worked with MTN Uganda’s Technical & Marketing departments for 10 years.
